Tutor Rules: Please Read Before You Register

These rules apply to every tutor. Read all of them. If you accept, you can start building your profile.

The Main Rules

1. A profile is not a guarantee. Having a profile on the City Home Tutors website does not mean you will get a tuition, or any number of tuitions. A tuition is offered when a family's request matches your profile.
2. No advance payment to tutors. City Home Tutors does not pay any tuition fee in advance. Your fee is transferred to your bank account after the month ends or the classes end. The bank account must be in your own name. No payment is made into another person's account.
3. No direct dealing with families. If you deal directly with a parent or student introduced to you by City Home Tutors, outside the company, it is treated as a serious violation. Your profile is removed permanently and you are placed on the blocked list (scammer category).
4. Incomplete profiles. A profile with incomplete data will not go live. It is deleted automatically after 7 days.
5. Neat, clean and relevant profiles. Your profile must be neat, clean and relevant: a clear photo, correct details, and only subjects and classes you really teach. A profile that is not, is deleted.
6. City Home Tutors commission. City Home Tutors keeps 20% of each month's tuition fee. It does not take any registration fee in advance, and does not take any big cut in advance.
7. Complaints about punctuality or class management. If a family complains that you are not punctual, or that you do not manage the class professionally, you are paid only for the days you actually taught.
8. City Home Tutors can change policy and remove profiles. City Home Tutors can change these rules and its policies at any time without notice. It can delete any tutor profile at any time.

Money and Commission

9. The free demo class is unpaid. The first demo class is free for the family, and unpaid for the tutor. Give it your full effort. Paid lessons start only after the family decides to continue.
10. Commission for as long as lessons continue. The 20% commission applies for as long as you teach a family introduced by City Home Tutors, including renewals, extra subjects and the family's other children.
11. City Home Tutors pays after the family pays. Your fee is released after the family's fee has reached City Home Tutors. If a family has not paid, your payment is released once the fee is received. It usually transfers within 7 working days after the month ends and the family's fee has arrived.
12. The fee is agreed through City Home Tutors. The fee is agreed through the company. Do not change the fee, or ask the family for extra fees or gifts, on your own. Any fee change goes through City Home Tutors.
13. Taxes are your responsibility. You are responsible for any tax on your earnings. If the law requires City Home Tutors to deduct tax from your payment, it will deduct it.

Staying with the Company

14. Do not take City Home families elsewhere. For 12 months after City Home Tutors introduces a family to you, do not teach that family, or its relatives or other children, outside the company or through another platform.
15. One person, one profile. You may have one profile only. Your Tutor ID is personal. Do not share it or let anyone use it. You are responsible for everything done with your ID.

Honesty and Conduct

16. Genuine documents only. Your CNIC, degree, certificates and photo must be genuine. Fake or changed documents mean permanent removal, and City Home Tutors may report serious cases to the authorities. It may ask you to verify your documents again at any time.
17. Respect and child safety. Treat students and families with respect. No harassment, no inappropriate contact, no sharing of a family's personal details, and no photos or videos of students without permission. Misconduct means immediate removal, and City Home Tutors may report serious matters to the authorities.
18. No promises about marks. Do not promise grades or results to families. Teach honestly and tell the family how the student is really doing.
19. Your intro video. You record a short introduction video yourself and send it to City Home Tutors. The video must be your own work, with no music or clips you do not own, and no phone number, address, social media handle or other brand in it. Do not show students unless their guardian agreed in writing. You allow City Home Tutors to upload it to its YouTube channel and to show it on your profile and in its promotion. It may cut it, caption it, or remove it at any time. If you ask for it to be removed, this is done within 7 days.
20. No fake reviews. Do not write, ask for or buy fake reviews. City Home Tutors may remove reviews that are misleading.

Classes and Attendance

21. Be on time and give notice. Be on time. If you cannot take a class, tell the family and City Home Tutors at least 24 hours before, except in a real emergency. Classes that you miss must be made up. If you miss three classes without notice, your profile may be removed.
22. Notice before stopping a tuition. Give City Home Tutors and the family at least 15 days' notice before you stop a tuition. If you leave suddenly, your profile may be removed. The days you taught are still paid.

The Role of City Home Tutors and the Law

23. You are not an employee of City Home Tutors. You are an independent tutor. You are not an employee of the company. There is no salary, no benefits and no guarantee of work. You are responsible for your own travel and costs.
24. The responsibility of City Home Tutors is limited. City Home Tutors introduces tutors to families and manages the process. It is not responsible for any loss, injury, damage, travel problem or dispute between a tutor and a family, or for a student's results. You teach at your own responsibility and you follow the laws of Pakistan.
25. How City Home Tutors handles complaints. City Home Tutors looks into every complaint. Its decision about payments and profile status is final. It may share the relevant parts of a complaint with the tutor and the family.
26. How City Home Tutors uses your details. You allow City Home Tutors to show your name, photo, qualification, institutes, subjects and any reviews on its website and in its promotion. It keeps your documents private and uses them only to check your profile.
27. Accepting these rules. When you tick the box and continue, you agree to these rules. City Home Tutors records the version and the date. These rules follow the laws of Pakistan.
